Kingston Hospital Charity relies entirely on the funds raised through patients and their loved ones, philanthropists, charitable trusts, businesses and community groups to help provide a quality of care that is over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone. In seeking to increase awareness and recognition among their stakeholders they asked John Spencer (Offthetopofmyhead) to create a new logo and visual identity to bring coherence to their communications.
As part of this process Our news, the bi-annual print and digital publication that encourages fundraising and highlights the benefits of this to the hospital and community, was redesigned. The intended audience, visual hierarchy, typography, layout, colour, and navigation of the publication (A5 page format) were considered along with feedback from the organisation’s media team.
